FORTECH’s Technolo-Tree Lights Up the Festive Forest!
The holiday season in Chattanooga got a little brighter, and a whole lot more techy, thanks to FORTECH’s participation in the second annual BBB Festive Forest! We joined around 70 other local small businesses in sponsoring and decorating our very own tree, bringing a little more tech to this beloved community event.
Our last-minute decision to jump into the Festive Forest turned out to be a resounding success! We envisioned a tree that truly represented FORTECH – innovative, fun, and a little bit quirky – and the “Technolo-Tree” was born!
Imagine this: a dazzling Christmas tree adorned with electric blue lights, instantly capturing the eye. But that’s just the beginning. We crafted bows from ethernet cables, a playful nod to our tech roots. And because what’s tech without audio and video? We went all out, incorporating multiple miniature TV screens playing a custom loop of everyone’s favorite Christmas movie moments. Think Minions spreading holiday cheer, the Grinch’s mischievous grin, Santa’s jolly laugh, and of course, the hilarious antics of Will Ferrell’s Elf.
The response was incredible! Guests of all ages were tickled by our Technolo-Tree. We saw smiles, laughter, and plenty of photos being snapped. Even better, multiple social media creators tagged our tree as a “must-see” Festive Forest attraction, spreading the word and bringing even more visitors to admire our handiwork.
The cherry on top? A little way into the event, the BBB introduced a voting system, and we were thrilled to discover our Technolo-Tree was a fan favorite! We faced some stiff competition from other creatively decorated trees, but thanks to the support of the community, we proudly secured second place!
Our Festive Forest adventure didn’t stop there. We received a fantastic mention on the BBB website and even got a shout-out in the Chattanooga Times Free Press Sunday paper! Talk about a fantastic result from a spontaneous decision!
Participating in the Festive Forest was an amazing experience, and it perfectly embodies the spirit of community and creativity that makes Chattanooga so special. We’re already brainstorming ideas for next year’s tree and can’t wait to light up the Festive Forest once again in 2025! Stay tuned!
