SALES CONSULTANT

The Sales Consultant drives sales by understanding client needs and proposing appropriate technical solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of installation processes and equipment to effectively communicate value and build client relationships. Technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a results-oriented approach are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify potential clients for AV, security, and related technology solutions.
  • Conduct needs assessments and develop customized solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and presentations to clients.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design system specifications and ensure feasibility.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients throughout the sales process.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide ongoing support.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest AV technologies and trends.
  • Accurately forecast sales and contribute to revenue goals.
  • Manage sales pipeline and track progress.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; relevant experience may be substituted.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (e.g., TVs, equipment boxes).
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, ideally in the AV industry or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of AV, security, and networking systems and their applications.
  • Ability to design and engineer basic to intermediate AV systems.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of success in sales.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Technical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
