SALES CONSULTANT
The Sales Consultant drives sales by understanding client needs and proposing appropriate technical solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of installation processes and equipment to effectively communicate value and build client relationships. Technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a results-oriented approach are crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify potential clients for AV, security, and related technology solutions.
- Conduct needs assessments and develop customized solutions that meet client requirements.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and presentations to clients.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design system specifications and ensure feasibility.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients throughout the sales process.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide ongoing support.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest AV technologies and trends.
- Accurately forecast sales and contribute to revenue goals.
- Manage sales pipeline and track progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; relevant experience may be substituted.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (e.g., TVs, equipment boxes).
- 2+ years of experience in sales, ideally in the AV industry or a related field.
- Strong understanding of AV, security, and networking systems and their applications.
- Ability to design and engineer basic to intermediate AV systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of success in sales.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Technical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
